XTreme-G 160.02

Сайт Tweaks RUS опубликовал новую сборку своего модифицированного драйвера XTreme-G, основанного на одной из последних Forceware. В отличие от Forceware 160.02, этот драйвер поддерживает практически все видеокарты GeForce.

Корпорация nVIDIA повторно представила обновленный вариант драйвера под номером 162.18. Данная версия предназначена для операционных систем Windows 2000/XP/2003. Поддерживает видеокарты GeForce пятого, шестого, седьмого и восьмого поколения, а также интегрированную графику шестого и седьмого. Датируется 26-м июля 2007 года и имеет WHQL-сертификата.

Общее описание выглядит так:
-добавлен WHQL-сертификат
-улучшена совместимость с игрой Lost Planet
-устранено множество ошибок совместимости для игр и приложений
-имеется поддержка для Microsoft DirectX 9.0c и OpenGL 2.1
-Поддержка технологии PureVideo HD для видеокарт GeForce 8600, 8500 и 8400 пока ограничена операционной системой Windows Vista. Для Windows XP аналогичные возможности будут реализованы в следующих версиях.

Список изменений из официальных заметок не претерпел существенных доработок, и занимает все те же семь страниц текста в формате А4.

Перепакованные оригинальные архивы nVIDIA Display Driver 162.18 с инсталляторами. В результате итоговый размер сократился почти в два раза по сравнению с первоначальным.

Stereo drivers are intended to enable the NVIDIA stereo Control Panel for the support of 3D Glasses. This is a beta driver so there might be a bit of stability issues for you. Then again it has been a long time since NVIDIA released such a driver so it'll make loads of you quite happy Two files are required to use your 3D glasses with any GeForce card. The first is the ForceWare video card drivers (I suggest 162. 18 preferred), and the other is the Nvidia Stereo drivers you can download from this page.

After installing the video card drivers to update your video card, you will need to install these new Stereo 3D drivers by downloading, unpacking and installing them. You will need to restart your computer one more time. After the 2 files have been installed, go to the display properties, then click Settings, and advanced. Click on the GeForce tab and you will see a menu pop out from the left side. Click on the one that says stereo properties and hit enabled.

The 162.15 Stereo Beta driver is the latest addition. Very probably, you will need to make this registry adjustment to get the drivers to work:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies] "ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001

These drivers haven’t been the best performers, but you will see:

1) A new S-3D control panel.
2) On-screen indicators of stereoscopic adjustments.
3) An updated S-3D profiles list that includes modern games.

ForceWare 162.50 WHQL

NVIDIA released a new driver, intended for the Quadro series, yet the drivers offer full GeForce 6, 7 and series 8 support. The overall experiences with these drivers are pretty okay according to our forum users and seem to solve a number of bugs (Digital Vibrance).
